Various dates each month Family History Society of Arizona has 7 chapters in the Phoenix Metro area.  Each chapter meets monthly and includes a free novice class before each meeting. 2nd Saturday of each month Sun Country TMG (The Master Genealogist) Users Group (SCTMG) are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10:00 AM until noon at the West Valley Genealogy Society Library, 1222 North 111th Avenue, Youngtown, AZ 85363. The meetings are geared to all levels of users and guests are welcome.
2nd Saturday of each month, September through May Due to scheduling conflicts with Mohave Community College, Tri-State Genealogical Society is currently meeting at the Laughlin Library, 2840 Needles Hwy., Laughlin, NV 89028. We are an Arizona organization with members who live in Mohave County, Arizona; Clark County, Nevada and San Bernardino County, California.

July 18 Monsoon Madness Seminar - A Day of Immigration and Naturalization. The Arizona State Genealogical Society will hold a one-day seminar in Tucson, Arizona focusing on locating your immigrant ancestors and their documentation. From 9AM - 3:30 PM, Members $20 and Non-Members $25. Seminar will be at the University Medical Center, 1501 N. Campbell, Ave., Room 2117, Tucson. August 26-30 Wholly Genes Announces something new: a "Genealogy Conference and Land Cruise". Prompted by economic conditions, the company is hosting this year's event in the pastoral setting of an historic hotel in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, about 2 hours west of Washington D.C. This year’s speaker list includes some of the most respected and knowledgeable professional genealogists in the world, including: John Philip Colletta, Ph.D., Marie Varrelman Melchiori, CG, CGL, Patricia O'Brien Shawker, CG, and Craig Roberts Scott, CG. The four-day conference will start with a day and a half of lectures about methodology, repositories, records, and finding aids in D.C. (including NARA, the Library of Congress, and the DAR), followed by a full-day research trip to Washington D.C. (the "land cruise" part), and then another day and a half of presentations, among other activities. Plus presentations on The Master Genealogist (TMG) software. The charge is under $400 per person (for double occupancy), including meals and all conference events. There is free wireless Internet and free parking. Oct 24 Northern Arizona Genealogical Society is hosting a Genealogy Fair at the Cultural Hall of the LDS Church building, 1001 Ruth Street, Prescott. This is an all-day event featuring exhibits and several on-line genealogy “help stations” with NAGS members and Family History Center staff. Jan 22-23 Second Annual Mesa Family History Expo at the Mesa Convention Center, 263 N. Center, Mesa, AZ. Various tracks of genealogical information over a two day period. Feb 14-21 RootsMagic Valentines Cruise will be aboard the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas. This year's speaker list includes Bruce Buzbee, founder and president of RootsMagic, Inc.; George Morgan and Drew Smith, Genealogy Guys Podcast; Diana Crisman Smith, lay librarian at local FHC; and Gary M. Smith, National Conference Coordinator of the Genealogical Speakers Guild. Ports of call include Miami; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Grand Cayman; and Cozumel, Mexico. Rates include 7-night cruise cost, meals, shows, all taxes and fees, three days family history classes. May 11-14 National Genealogical Society has selected Charleston, South Carolina for the 2011 Family History Conference. Lodging will include a combination of hotels and suite hotels adjacent to the North Charleston Convention Center. All the participating hotels will provide free Internet. .
