Sun Country TMG (The Master Genealogist) Users Group (SCTMG) are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10:00 AM until noon at the West Valley Genealogy Society Library, 1222 North 111th Avenue, Youngtown, AZ 85363. The meetings are geared to all levels of users and guests are welcome. |

The Family History Society of Arizona is holding its Fall Workshop at the Glendale Adult Center, 5970 W. Brown Street, Glendale (just west of 59th Ave off Brown Rd.). The Workshop, featuring 2 ASU professors - Duane Roen and Eduardo Pagan, the 5th team member on the PBS show, History Detectives, begins 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The morning opens with a Round Table Panel of local published genealogy authors, followed by "Writing and preserving of family history". In afternoon, Beginners are offered a 2 part session, others select 3 classes from 14 choices. $35 registration includes buffet lunch catered by Sweet Tomatoes, vendors, door prizes and, syllabus. AzGAB Annual Workshop and Board of Directors Meeting at the Carnegie Center, 1101 W. Washington, Phoenix beginning at 9AM. Come learn about the common and unique resources available in each of the Arizona counties plus the Arizona Archives. Pinal County Genealogists is hosting its annual workshop at the LDS Church, 1555 N. Colorado Street, Casa Grande, AZ. The registration fee of $20.00 includes box lunch and syllabus. Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. with the first class starting at 9:00 a.m. There will be 25 sessions that include two classes for beginners.
